Workplace Safety: Sidestepping Legal Pitfalls While Protecting Your Workforce

Session Description

Workplace safety presents a number of far-reaching and overlapping legal concerns that can put employers at risk. This breakout session will cover (1) what to do (and what not to do) when an employee violates your safety policies and will further explore (2) the intersection of several state and federal laws in the context of a workplace injury; including state workers’ compensation laws, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, and OSHA regulations. Attendees will receive valuable information to help employers avoid legal pitfalls and keep the workplace safe.


Lilian Davis, JD

Lilian Davis helps private and public corporations, individuals, and municipalities identify and address potential liabilities.
